  1. Tank Size: Provide a tank of at least 10-15 gallons for a school of Ember Tetras, allowing them to swim and shoal comfortably.

  2. Water Parameters: Maintain stable conditions with a temperature range of 72-82°F (22-28°C), a pH level of 6.0-7.0, and soft to moderately hard water.

  3. Filtration: Use gentle filtration to avoid strong currents. Ember Tetras come from slow-moving waters, so maintain good water quality.

  4. Aquascape: Create a well-planted tank with open swimming areas and subdued lighting. They appreciate live or artificial plants and floating plants.

  5. Tank Mates: Ember Tetras are peaceful and best kept with other small, non-aggressive community fish. They thrive in schools, so keep them in groups of at least six.

  6. Diet: They are omnivores, accepting high-quality flakes, pellets, and live or frozen foods like brine shrimp, daphnia, and micro worms.
