Water Conditions:

• Temperature: 72–79°F (22–26°C)
• pH: 6.0–7.5 (slightly acidic to neutral)
• Hardness: Soft to moderately hard water (2–15 dGH)

Tank Setup:

• Tank Size: Minimum 20 gallons
• Tank Type: A well-planted tank with lots of hiding spaces and swimming room. Prefers shaded areas with soft, diffused lighting.
• Water Flow: Moderate water flow is ideal.

Diet:

• Omnivorous. Feed a balanced diet including high-quality flakes, pellets, live or frozen foods like daphnia, brine shrimp, and bloodworms.

Behavior:

• Peaceful and social. Best kept in schools of 6 or more to reduce stress.
• Can be kept with other peaceful species, but avoid fin-nippers or overly aggressive tankmates.

Tankmates:

• Other peaceful fish like tetras, rasboras, corydoras, and small plecos.
