Water Parameters: Maintain stable conditions with a temperature range of 72-86°F (22-30°C), a pH level of 6.5-7.5, and moderately hard water.

Filtration: Effective filtration is crucial to handle their substantial waste production. A powerful filter is recommended.

Aquascape: Create a setup with hiding spots, driftwood, and caves. Common Plecos appreciate a substrate with soft sand or fine gravel.

Tank Mates: They are generally peaceful but can become territorial as they grow. Keep them with other large, non-aggressive species that can coexist.

Diet: Common Plecos are primarily herbivores, feeding on algae and plant matter. Provide high-quality vegetable-based sinking pellets and supplement with occasional protein-based foods.
