SHIPPING & ORDERS

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY FISH TO ARRIVE?
Livestock shipment dates are updated weekly at the top of our website. Live fish, shrimp, snails, and invertebrates are shipped overnight with a live arrival guarantee.

WHICH STATES DO YOU SHIP TO?
We ship to most U.S. states. Some restrictions may apply for certain species--please check your state regulations.

AQUARIUM CARE

CAN I PUT MY NEW FISH INTO MY TANK IMMEDIATELY?
Please ensure proper acclimation of fish to any new tank. Additionally, we strongly suggest quarantining your new fish friends for at least two weeks before introducing them to an existing tank to ensure proper care of your animals.

WHAT WATER CONDITIONS DO MY FISH NEED?
Each species has specific requirements for pH, hardness, temperature, and tank size. We provide care guides for all our freshwater fish and invertebrates.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I FEED MY FISH?
Most tropical freshwater fish, like Guppies, Platys, and Tetras, should be fed once a day or every other day in small amounts. Overfeeding can harm water quality and stress your fish.

CAN I MIX DIFFERENT SPECIES?
Many freshwater fish can cohabitate, but always research species compatibility to avoid stress or aggression.

PLANTS & INVERTEBRATES

DO PLANTS REQUIRE SPECIAL CARE?
Freshwater plants thrive with adequate lighting, water quality, and nutrients. Easy-to-care-for plants are perfect for beginners.

ARE SHRIMP AND SNAILS SAFE FOR MY TANK?
Yes! Our freshwater shrimp, crabs, and snails are tank-raised or responsibly sourced and help maintain a clean and healthy aquarium.

DOA TERMS

LIVE ARRIVAL GUARANTEE

We guarantee that all your fish and shrimp friends are shipped to arrive alive. Each order is carefully packed using insulated materials, temperature control packs, and secure bagging methods to maintain water stability during transit.

We ship out orders Monday/Tuesday to avoid delays over weekends or holidays.

In the rare event that any livestock arrives DOA, we will offer either store credit, a replacement (Customer responsible for shipping costs), or a partial/full refund based on product availability, order quantity, and current weather conditions.

REPLACEMENT OR REFUND POLICY

Replacement orders may require 1–2 weeks to process depending on stock availability.

For partial DOA claims, refunds will be issued based on the number of affected livestock.

QUARANTINE AND ACCLIMATION

We strongly advise quarantining all new fish for a minimum of two weeks before introducing them into your main aquarium. This period allows you to monitor, treat if necessary, and properly condition the new arrivals while protecting the health of your established tank.

If you choose not to quarantine and place new fish directly into your main tank, we cannot accept responsibility for any health issues that may affect either the new fish or your existing fish friends. Quarantine is a preventative step that significantly reduces risk and helps maintain a stable aquarium environment.

Following a proper acclimation procedure is equally important. Careful acclimation reduces stress and allows your fish to adjust gradually to new water parameters. Thank you for taking the proper steps to ensure the health and safety of all your aquatic friends.

WEATHER CONDITIONS

Temperatures during transit could put the fish’s health at risk and their well-being is always our top priority!

We reserve the right to delay shipment if weather conditions are unsafe for transit. This includes extreme temperatures along the shipping route or at the destination.

General shipping guidelines:

-Fragile Species: Shipped only between ~50°F–80°F

-Standard Species: Shipped between ~45°F–85°F

Extreme weather may result in delays regardless of species. We will contact you if any delay is necessary.

CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY

Please ensure someone is available to greet your fish friends at the time of delivery to avoid delays or exposure to extreme temperatures.

We are not responsible for DOA claims resulting from missed deliveries or incorrect shipping addresses or contact information provided at checkout.

EXCLUSIONS

Claims submitted outside of the stated DOA time window will not be accepted.

If livestock appears unhealthy but not deceased upon arrival, please provide a clear video within 24 hours for review so we can work together to determine the appropriate resolution!

HOW TO SUBMIT DOA CLAIM
