Crystal Black Shrimp

Tank Size: Provide a tank of at least 5-10 gallons for a colony of Crystal Black Shrimp, depending on the number of shrimp and available hiding spots.

Water Parameters: Maintain stable conditions with a temperature range of 72-78°F (22-26°C), a pH level of 6.0-6.8, and very soft to soft water.

Filtration: Use gentle filtration, such as a sponge filter, to avoid harming the shrimp or their fry. Slow water flow is ideal.

Aquascape: Create a well-planted tank with mosses, driftwood, and hiding spots. Crystal Black Shrimp appreciate a heavily planted environment.

Tank Mates: Keep Crystal Black Shrimp in a dedicated shrimp tank. Avoid fish and other potential predators, as they are small and vulnerable.

Diet: They are primarily herbivores, feeding on algae, biofilm, and detritus. Supplement their diet with high-quality shrimp food and occasional blanched vegetables.
