  1. Tank Size: Provide a tank of at least 30 gallons for a small group of Melon Barbs. They are social and should be kept in groups of five or more.

  2. Water Parameters: Maintain stable conditions with a temperature range of 72-79°F (22-26°C), a pH level of 6.0-7.5, and soft to moderately hard water.

  3. Filtration: Use efficient filtration to ensure good water quality and oxygenation. Melon Barbs appreciate well-circulated water and are sensitive to poor water conditions.

  4. Aquascape: Decorate the tank with live or silk plants, driftwood, and rocks. Provide hiding spots and open swimming spaces.

  5. Tank Mates: Melon Barbs are peaceful and can be kept with other community fish that share similar water parameters. Avoid fin-nipping species.

  6. Diet: They are omnivores and accept a diet of high-quality flake or pellet foods. Supplement their diet with live or frozen foods like brine shrimp, bloodworms, and vegetable matter.
