  1. Tank Size: Provide a tank of at least 20 gallons for a small group of Lace Catfish. They are social and should be kept in groups of four or more.

  2. Water Parameters: Maintain stable conditions with a temperature range of 75-82°F (24-28°C), a pH level of 6.0-7.5, and soft to moderately hard water.

  3. Filtration: Use efficient filtration to ensure good water quality and oxygenation. Lace Catfish are sensitive to poor water conditions.

  4. Aquascape: Create an environment with plenty of hiding spots using rocks, caves, driftwood, and dense vegetation. Provide smooth substrates to prevent injury to their delicate barbels.

  5. Tank Mates: They are peaceful and can be kept with other small, non-aggressive fish that share similar water parameters.

  6. Diet: Lace Catfish are omnivores and accept a diet that includes high-quality sinking pellets, live or frozen foods like bloodworms and brine shrimp, and occasional vegetable matter.
